Abstract
Qualitative data analysis refers to the systematic process of finding and organizing all the non-
textual material and documents acquired to help in better explaining or exploring the
phenomenon/ topic (Wong, 2008). The research topic explored in this study is “the role of faculty
in doctoral persistence: A case study of University of Ghana’s School of Business doctoral
faculty”. This qualitative data analysis begins with an exposition on the problem statement,
research questions, and purpose statement. From here, the document discusses the procedure of
this research which comprises the research strategies and data collection processes. Additionally,
anticipated ethical issues and emergent theme analysis are explored, leading to a conclusion and
recommendation based on the findings.
