Profile of the Walmart
Introduction
Sam Walton established Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in 1962 as a privately owned enterprise
before it became incorporated in 1969 and subsequently went public on the New York Stock
Exchange three years later (Britannica, 2023). Walmart is an American multinational corporation
that operates numerous retail establishments globally, such as discount stores, supercenters,
market-side outlets, and Sam's Club warehouses. The company comprises three distinct business
divisions: Sam's Club, Walmart US, and Wal-Mart International. This essay will encompass three
main sections: an overview of the subject company, an evaluation and appraisal of its HR
practices' strategic and theological validity, and crucial recommendations to enhance said
practices' strategic soundness from a practical and religious perspective.
History
According to Britannica's 2023 edition, Sam Walton was born on March 29, 1918, in
Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Unfortunately, his demise occurred on April 5th,1992 in Little Rock
