Arrow, K. J. (2015). Economic welfare and the allocation of resources for invention (pp. 609-
626). Princeton University Press.
This book talks about the risks taken by businesses during resource allocation. It outlines
the reasons for the failure of perfect competition systems in regard to the allocation of
resources. One of these reasons includes uncertainty at the time of resource allocation.
The author proposes that this uncertainty arises when there is inadequate economic
information. Such information includes marketing factors such as social media. Research
by corporations is suggested as a way in which these risks can be reduced. This research
should focus on these factors, and the conclusions drawn can be used to advise businesses
on how to allocate resources. In the book is a developed model of conducting this
research. This book’s information will help them achieve the objectives of this research
towards solving the general problem. The proposed research models will be applied with
the aim of identifying how social media influences the sales made by a company through
its impacts on consumer buying behaviors.

the effects of social media on consumer behavior.

decision-making journey: an exploratory study. Journal of Marketing for Higher
Education, 25(2),287-312.
The aim of this article was to describe the decision-making process required of
postgraduate students intending to research social media. It spells out the reasons why
students use social media: to find about student life and read reviews from former
students. The article is a good source of information for this research. Its findings can be
extrapolated to help determine the involvement of the youth in online markets. This will
play a great role in the solution to the specific problem of the study.

Social media marketing efforts of luxury brands: Influence on brand equity and
consumer behavior. Journal of business research, 69(12), 5833-5841.
This journal looks at the relationship between social media marketing and brand equity
creation. The study links social media marketing efforts and their consequences,
including price premium, loyalty, and brand preferences. From the study, a structural
equation model is developed to bridge gaps in prior social media literature. This article
sheds light on how social media is likely to affect brand image and awareness. The
consumer has a way of behaving towards a brand. This information will thus be helpful in
determining how this behavior is influenced by social media.
Jisana, T. K. (2014). Consumer behavior models: an overview. Sai Om Journal of Commerce &
Management, 1(5), 34-43.
This Journal aims to describe consumer behavior and factors that influence consumer
behavior. How consumers make decisions on acquiring goods and services using their
limited resources such as time and money is discussed. One key factor that stands out is
the information regarding a product. The author comments that consumer behavior
patterns are vastly affected by the variety, reliability, and availability of information
regarding the desired product. Thus, the contents of this Journal will assist in evaluating
how social media, as a source of information, affects consumer behavior. In this way,
both qualitative and quantitative research questions will be answered.

Keller, T., & Altdorf, K. L. (2016). The design of work. In Every good endeavor: Connecting
your work to God's work. New York, New York: Penguin Books.
This book follows a biblical framework in emphasizing the importance of viewing our
daily work through the lens of God's plan. It begins in Genesis, with the authors tracing
the origins of who we are as humans and the role of work in that design. Work is not a
result of the curse, but is a necessary component of our formation. In the first section of
this biblical account, the authors make the case for God's intention for our work, the
dignity of work, and the role of work in cultivating and serving our world.
Mansell I, Bennett G, Northway R, Mead D, Moseley L. The learning curve: the advantages and
disadvantages in the use of focus groups as a method of data collection. Nurse Res.
2004;11(4):79–88.
The authors discuss the complexities and practicalities of using focus groups in the
context of a two-part study of palliative care services, the first of which was conducted
via mail questionnaire. Four focus groups with a purposively selected sample of general
practitioners, health providers, and health authority personnel, as well as representatives
from voluntary organizations and service users, were conducted. The authors note that
they do not believe that participants should validate the transcripts because participants
recall what they wish they had said or what they believe they said, rather than necessarily
validating the data's status. The authors discuss the steep learning curve they encountered
during the investigation. The most critical lesson is to ensure that the focus group design
is the optimal method for data collection for the current project.
