Case Study Analysis: Supply Dynamics in New Business Development
Major Theme in New Business Development
Theme of new business development from the case study was identified as the impact of
market volatility on supply chain. The theme represents the impact of market volatility on an
entrepreneur’s supply chain from the emerging market (Anika, 2024). Business adaptation
strategies are crucial for new businesses to have continued operations in a rapidly-changing
environment. The current business environment has a lot of supply chain uncertainties. It will
be significant for new businesses to develop a supply chain management strategy that
incorporates business risks and volatility. The theme indicates the vital necessitates that new
businesses have a framework to develop supply chain risks and volatility in their operations.
Risks and Returns Analysis
The case study analysis indicates that there are relevant threats related to economic
uncertainties and environmental unpredictability, forming a major risk-return relationship in the
supply chain environment. Furthermore, the risk notion extends to the disruptions in the supply
continuity that result in financial loss and reduced competitiveness in the market. In this regard,
the case study analysis suggests that the dynamic supply chain management practices adoption
can function as a facilitator to reconcile the identified risk-return relationship, which contributes
to a more robust supply chain (Ngo et al., 2024). To clarify, the businesses use the supply chain
agility and flexibility to ameliorate the sustainability-related supply chain risks' negative impacts
on the financial outcomes. Therefore, the aspects considered by the case study analysis indicate
that, despite the considerable challenges identified, the businesses could seek amplified returns
through the adaptive practices’ integration that correspond to the market dynamics and ensure
stable growth in the long run.
Moreover, the case study discussed risk management and mitigation practices necessary
for ensuring the desired functionality of the supply chain in instable circumstances. An
advocated practice deals with implementing dynamic supply chain management practices that

can counter the effects of disruptions caused by economic and environmental changes (Ngo et
al., 2024). Dynamic supply chain management practices imply an emphasis on supply chain
agility, which focuses on prompt adaptability to market demand change and sustainability
features in the operational decision-making process. The case study underlines that this practice
can significantly reduce instability and contribute to an enhanced competitive advantage in
terms of supply chain continuity and effective operations. The evidence provided by the case
study demonstrates that developing risk management and mitigation practices causes improved
financial performance, which also validates their efficiency in risk management and ensuring
stable returns.
