Hamzah Alaidaros is a PhD student at Universiti Utara Malaysia ,UUM · Awang Had Salleh
Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. He has made various publications throughout the years
focusing on Agile software development (ASD), software project management (SPM) among
others. He is passionate about researching ways to improve the software project monitoring task of
the Agile Kanban method. His colleague Mazni Omar has a PhD in Information Technology and
Quantitative Sciences and is Associate Professor at Universiti Utara Malaysia. Rohaida BT Romli,
has made over thirty scholarly publications and currently works as a Professor at Universiti Utara
Malaysia, School of Computing. Kanban agile method is known to be one of the most used tools in
Agile Project Management. This method is now being used in many industries to manage projects.
According to the authors Kandan has been faced with numerous challenges and this article aims to
address those challenges while trying to find solutions and opportunities. The authors further went
on to create a pathway for readers to understand the Kanban method while keeping true to their aim
of addressing the limitations and finding the right pathway for the adoption of the method

Dakota State University. They specialize in Information Systems and have worked over the
years on writing different articles and publications. This article aims to define agile project
management (APM), while seeking to understand the impact of APM on information
systems. They have realized that as technology changes and technological innovativeness

continues to be at the forefront many organizations are looking towards adopting an agile
mindset as things change. The authors analyzed various articles in order to evaluate the
agility of APM and how impactful its evolution will be on projects that have a high level of
uncertainty.

The authors are all Professors at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Indonesia,
Jakarta, Indonesia.This article focuses on one of the most popular Agile Project Management
methods -Scrum. The authors discuss the major challenges with this method and seek to create
solutions to the issues. In collecting and compiling information the authors were able to identify
the challenges, they realized that the greatest challenge of the scrum method was in relation to
team management and trust within the scrum team with which they realized that the best solution
is to be transparent with easy access to information.

Danijela Lalic, Bojan Lalic,Milan Delić and Darko Stefanovic are all Professors and Associate
Professors at University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences respectively. They came
together to write this article in order to educate their readers on the different project managemnet

styles, specifically traditional, agile or hybrid and how they contribute to the success of a project.
They conducted this research and compiled a plethora of information for their readers to educate
themselves on the characteristics and effects of these different project management styles. In
concluding their research the authors found that an agile approach to project management has
had a more positive impact than any other approach.

Flaviu Fuior works at Institutul Național de Cercetare-Dezvoltare in the Department of Modeling
Simulation and Optimization. He has published several articles ranging from software development
to agile methods. In this article the author speaks about the influence of agile methodology on the
IT industry and notes the importance of these methods to its development. He discusses the main
agile methodologies used including Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban and Scrum/XP hybrid. The article
further dives into the successes of these methods and what elements drive their success, noting that
the aim is to identify each methodology's distinctive characteristics and not compare them to each
other . It is important to note that these are not the only agile methods but are considered the most
widely used based on the survey that was conducted by the author.

Dr. Zulkefli Bin Mansor is an Associate Professor in Software Engineering at the Research
Center for Software Technology and Management, Faculty of Information Science and

Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. He has written numerous articles and
has represented several different journals and sits on various committees such as the Project
Management Institute. He along with his colleague Muhammad Fahmi Bin Ismail wrote this
article to highlight the current limitations and issues of Agile Project Management and how to
select the best method for one's project.

Sap Specialist at IBM in Romania. She has published various articles and takes interest in Agile,
Project Management and Information Systems.In this article the author speaks about agile as a
way of thinking and taking on the challenges of the world without being confined to a particular
way of doing things. He discusses the use of two of the most widely used methods of Agile
Project Management: Scrum and Kanban. The author highlights ways in which these two
methods are similar, their differences and how they can be integrated to work together to create
tremendous benefits to the world of project management.

Deniz Özkan is an Assistant Professor at Bahcesehir University Istanbul, Turkey. She received a
Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Marmara University and a PhD in
Engineering Management/Economics from The George Washington University. She has written

and published various articles and has teamed up with her colleague Alok Mishra to contribute to
the world of Agile Project Management. Alok Mishra is a Professor at the Department of
Software Engineering, Atilim University, Turkey. The authors have worked together to create a
body of knowledge on Agile Projectment tools. In their article they noted that Agile Project
Management has been around for quite some time and throughout the years more and more agile
methods and tools have been developed. In this article the authors discuss the various agile
methodologies by giving a comparative overview of each. The article delves into sixteen of the
most popular agile methods that have over the years have contributed to the successes of agile
developers in managing tasks in an effective and efficient manner.

The author Gerry Starsia has held many positions and taken a few different career paths.
For the past two decades he has transitioned to the University of Virginia where he has held the
role of Professor, Senior Associate Dean and Chief Operating Officer at the McIntire School of
Commerce and the Darden Graduate School of Business. He has also held the position of project
manager, program manager, project executive, and business founder and CEO. He recently
published a book, Plan to Pivot: Agile Organizational Strategy in an Age of Complexity. This
article aims at identifying and describing the 12 principles in the agile project management
manifesto while finding the relationship between the manifesto and strategic management theory
and practice. The article concludes that by applying agile principles in organizations they can
prioritize activities that will be most beneficial and impactful rather than spending resources on

Carsten Feldmann, TheoThesing and Martin Burchardt are Professors at Munster School of
Business, Germany and Evonade GmbH, Gersau, Switzerland respectively. They came together
to create an article that would compile the pros and cons of agile project management vs
waterfall project management and how best to make a decision on which method to use
depending on different criteria so that each project may entail. Based on the literature they
concluded that both methods will have a great impact on the success of projects and that they
both had pros and cons. The authors further went on to speak about the one of the greatest
advantages of APM is its ability to adapt quickly to the changes that may take place within the
project as the client may want to make some form of adjustment. They also noted that with APM
errors are quickly identifiable which allows the requirements of the client to be met in a timely
manner.
