Human resource managers are accountable for learning and abiding by regulations
pertaining to diversity and data confidentiality. Their work goes beyond simply designing a
competitive salary and benefits plan for staff members. Any organization can benefit greatly
from the services the human resources department offers even though it does not generate
revenue for the organization. Mcconnell (2021) assures that a human resource department
significantly contributes indirectly by ensuring that the business complies with all laws and other
obligations set established by federal and state governments. This holds true to healthcare human
resources managers and their departments. In the healthcare industry, human resources
management is concentrated on ensuring that the appropriate combination of healthcare
professionals is in position to address the concerns of the general public, on effective recruiting
and retaining, and progressively on innovative approaches that alter how healthcare professionals
are trained, educated and practice in collaborative health care organizations.
The growth and extension of the healthcare sector has been largely dependent on
technological advancements, which have had a substantial impact on both the quality of patient
care that is offered and the operational aspects of managing a thriving organization.
Tursunbayeva (2019) states human resource procedures that are strengthened and human
resource technology like Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) which can gather, retain,
and present employee statistics are frequently cited as viable remedies for the severe staff
shortages in the healthcare industry. The care that healthcare practitioners give their patients can
be enhanced with the use of technology in human resources management. Technology has the
potential to encourage interaction, enable assistance, and foster contact between medical
personnel who are geographically distant while also being used to deliver instant and current
patient information. Information and communication technology can be utilized to provide
distant learning and training for people who are geographically remote to keep their continuing
education. The use of technology can be for good as it was for Uzziah during the reign of Judah
in 2 Chronicles 26:15 “In Jerusalem he made devices invented for use on the towers and on the
corner defenses so that soldiers could shoot arrows and hurl large stones from the walls. His
fame spread far and wide, for he was greatly helped until he became strong” (New International
Version, New International Version Bible,1978/2011, 2 Chronicles 26:15). Uzziah saw the need
for technology and that same need is seen throughout health care as new technologies are being
developed continuously such as electronic health records, telemedicine and telehealth
applications, social media networks, e-learning et cetera.
