1. How do you interpret the reliability results for the clerical test and work sample? Are
they favorable enough for Phonemic to consider using them "for keeps" in selecting new
job applicants?
Within the context of favorability, the clerical test and the Work sample are suitable enough for
Phenomin to implement during the selection processes during recruitment. The rationale behind
such a disposition is based on the fact that the study was capable of revealing the coefficient
alpha, which is 0.85 and 0.86, and was both present in the test-retest also known as T and the and
work sample C. These inter-rater agreements were capable of being contained from the work
sample C, T1 is the same as 80% while T2 stands at 82% (Heneman, Judge & Kammeyer-
Mueller,2019).9 However, the key aspect is that both of them are above the 75% threshold, hence
reliable in determining whether a certain assessment method is effective (Heneman, Judge &
Kammeyer-Mueller,2019).9
Moreover, the measurement of reliability within the two time periods in implementing the test-
retest and the interrater agreement measurement is essential. Considering that the clerical tests
were determined objectives, applying the test-retest measurement to establish reliability in the
two time periods is advisable. The two time periods were short, one week apart; hence, it is valid
to expect test-retest rests on being more than .9. Therefore, the clerical test is capable of meeting
the 0.92 thresholds. It is important to note that the correlation coefficient in clerical tests is very
