REVERSE DISCRIMINATION 2
Career Development and Training
To guarantee their success and keep a competitive edge, companies must provide suitable
growth plans and training. Emphasizing performance and hence supporting the organization's
objective, knowledge management, formal training and development, and informal learning are
all absolutely vital components of an organization's continuous learning philosophy, according to
Noe et al. (2021). Businesses that use a constant learning approach help staff members develop
the skills required for employment and ensure their career progress both within and outside the
company. The differences between training and career development will be covered in this piece,
along with an explanation of which would be more suited for employee retention.
Two Different Worlds: Their Differences
Many companies neglect to value the variations between career development and training
in terms of their significance to staff members. In an organization or among people, training is an
intentional process to acquire or develop new information, skills, or behaviors (Noe et al., 2021;
Adetunji & Baba, 2020). By stressing the need for career development, Aleem and Bowra (2020)
assert that training is vital for the firm as it shapes employees' loyalty and dedication to it.
Adequate and suitable workplace training offers, for example, fewer accidents, greater
productivity, better morale, and better employee promotions (Adetunji & Baba, 2020).
Whereas training is more of a process to gain information, skills, or behaviors, career
development is an individual act that uses training. Adetunji and Baba (2020) define career
development as a lifelong process of developing one's profession by employing new skills,
advancing into greater responsibility, or changing jobs. Unlike training, career growth is
connected to the objectives of an individual (Adetunji & Baba, 2020). Using career development,
people acquire the necessary skills and objectives to enable them to correctly advance through

their professions, assuring the fulfillment of their ambitions. Ensuring people have the required
training and mentorship to reach their objectives helps them to enhance their careers.
Improving RetentionIn today's very competitive marketplaces, retention may prove
difficult for many businesses. Aleem and Bowra (2020) argue that keeping people on board helps
avoid losing a company's connections, reputation, cash, and talent because the most essential
component of its competitive advantage is the skills of its employees. Proper training helps one
keep the person within a company intact. For instance, many businesses use training as a
measure to guarantee retention (Aleem & Bowra, 2020). Professional growth depends on
training; hence, it is a fundamental element that explains why companies will show better
retention.
The Reasons Training Boosts Retention
Companies that give staff development first priority often show better retention. Aleem
and Bowra (2020) claim that when companies educate their employees, it improves quality,
lowers supervision costs, and inspires staff members to contribute to achieving corporate
objectives. Increasing loyalty and dedication to the company depends on training and helping
employees advance in their jobs. The main benefit of training is employee long-term retention,
particularly for ambitious and dedicated people who want to advance their professions in a
particular sector (Aleem & Bowra, 2020). Modern businesses striving for retention should create
excellent staff training emphasizing career growth.
Training is the finest retention plan available. "All scripture is given by inspiration of
God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works," says 2 Timothy
3:16–17. According to the chapter, Christians must be trained to do all good deeds confidently.
