Key Term and Why You Are Interested in It: Proactive
I focused my efforts on the term "proactive" for this
discussion board. This phrase struck a chord with me because it
implies a great deal of work and devotion on the part of the person
who uses it. The ability to be proactive is critical for obtaining
success in both personal and professional pursuits. Throughout the
day, you must be cognizant of your aims and requirements and take
corrective actions and processes in order to achieve, analyze, and
plan in order to meet these objectives and requirements, among
other things. When businesses make choices based on internal
conditions that are caused by their own personnel, they are referred
to as "proactive reasoning" (Satterlee, 2018).
Explanation of Key Term: Proactive
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, proactive
conduct is described as taking action in anticipation of future
difficulties, responsibilities, or changes in circumstances. It also
means anticipating and avoiding future difficulties in advance
(Definition of PROACTIVE, 2019).

for themselves and their families are acknowledged and rewarded by
their employer (Parker, 2016). When it comes to problem solving, a
person or organization must actively seek out and examine options,
keep working until desired changes are achieved, and take
responsibility for avoiding future or recurring issues (Parker, 2016).
Major Article Summary
According to the findings of a recent research, people who work to
enhance their overall well-being and career prospects will enjoy the
benefits in the long term. Teams and organizations that succeed are
built on the ability to be proactive as well as imaginative, and both of
these traits are important to their success (Parker, 2016). Those
interested in workplace proactivity might consider buying Parker's
book, "Proactivity at Work: Making Things Happen in Organizations,"
which provides an in-depth analysis and discussion of the issue.
Aside from that, the book states that the writers, as part of their
inquiry into the topic, detail how the problem has become more
prevalent in today's workplaces as a result of their findings (Parker,
2016). The book also addresses a wide range of themes, such as the
numerous ways in which employees are motivated to make changes
in their companies, the reasons for and timing of such motivation,
and the ramifications associated with various forms of proactivity in
the workplace (Parker, 2016).
Discussion
When it comes to running a business or an organization, the prospect
of making more money is the most aggressive motivator for global
growth. Businesses with proactive incentives grow internationally
because they want to, while firms with reactive motivations expand
internationally because they have no option but to do so due to
external circumstances (Satterlee, 2018). The advantages of being a
proactive person and company leader have been discussed before on
this blog. It is possible to prevent poor performance or making rash
business decisions for which the firm may not be prepared, which
might result in financial losses for the organization if proper planning
is done in advance of time.
