Executive Summary:
The research questions proposed during this study is whether or not working from home has an
impact on employee productivity and whether or not working from home has the ability to affect
an employee’s job satisfaction. Employees who are given the opportunity to work from home
have shown an increased level of job performance and satisfaction while additionally saving
businesses money through decreased facility spending and decreased employee turnover rates.
The researcher mythology used throughout this study will be through observational and derived
data. Conclusions indicate that it is important to the overall success of a business to ensure that
employees are engaged and content within the daily duties and environment of their job, which
include the ability to work from home if desired. Employers need to understand that there is a
direct correlation between employee productivity and job satisfaction for those employees given
the choice to work from home.
Introduction:
Working from home should be an option granted to all occupation eligible employees within a
business. Being able to integrate a work from home schedule has the ability to drive employee
performances and is an important factor determining job satisfaction. The purpose of this
