Introduction
General Dynamics is a global aerospace company that is identified as one of the top three
largest United States defense contractors. They came from small beginnings back in 1899 before
becoming incorporated with the current name in 1952. It is important to understand the history of
a company within business valuation. After going through the details of the business structure, it
is important to identify busies strands like who their competitors. Knowing the competition can
assist the corporation’s management make proper decisions towards pursuing future growth.
Finally, the economic outlook will bring some data from the annual reporting, or the 10-K
General Dynamics submits and will provide management and shareholders the financial outlook
of the corporation.
Business Description
General Dynamics is a global aerospace and defense industry company, one of the top 3
largest United States defense contractors supporting the Department of Defense in Aerospace,
Marine Systems, Combat Systems, and Technologies. Although they are a global entity, their
headquarters is in Reston, Virginia and has about 103,100 full-time employees. (Yahoo. Finance,
2022).
