Promotion Mix
Ford Racing’s promotional mix incorporates competitive Autosport and street
performance products. Additionally, its mix includes both conventional and unconventional
strategic communications and marketing initiatives. Within the organization’s “4Ps” marketing
mix, the promotion element’s conventional products include advertising (main tactic), personal
selling, direct selling, sales promotions, and public relations. (Ferguson, 2025). The
organization’s unconventional product mix, digital and social media engagement, virtual and
augmented reality (VR/AR) online experiences, and large event sponsorships (LaReau, 2025).

prime example of Ford Racing’s promotion mix within its motorsports department, as B2B has
staked its role in marketing. Additionally, industry enthusiasts such as celebrities and veteran
motorsport athletes are starting to engage more with high-profile motorsport organizations.
Promotion Strategy
Strategic marketing objectives are often lost in translation, especially when entering into
a new target market. Moreover, marketing managers must be flexible in their strategy if they
want to amplify a narrative. Therefore, Ford Racing incorporates a hybrid approach as a
promotional strategy. As per the push strategy, the organization directly reaches out to potential
sponsors and fans. These are typically done as targeted ads, strategic event presence, trade
shows, and direct sales. However, Ford Racing implies compelling social media content, an
interactive fan experience, and strategic brand building for pull strategies. Each strategy has its
appropriate time and place in the marketing campaigns. This is a notable consideration given
that
Ford Racing has re-branded, entered a new target market, and has prominent competition.
Social Media Marketing
Focusing its narrative on a deep fan connection, Ford Racing develops compelling
content on many platforms. Initiatives such as Q&A sessions, livestreams, immersive fan
experiences, and behind-the-scenes looks are tactics used to reach the firm’s target audience
(Ford Media , 2021). Influencer marketing plays a vital role in Ford’s social media advertising
trends. Partnerships with influencers who share their passion further amplify brand awareness
for such a niche target audience. Additionally, Ford Racing is careful in selecting its partnerships
with influencers. These individuals must be of the same values that align with the brand (Singh,
2025). This type of partnership is much deeper and meaningful; therefore, this will reflect upon
the firm’s influence on the target audience. Henry Ford’s narrative still resonates throughout the
entire organization, building deep connections and empowering the community to reach their
full potential.

Advertising Execution
Product execution incorporates a considerable amount of research and analysis, like
every other aspect of a marketing campaign. Ford Racing incorporates both institutional and
product advertising to its target audience. Ford Racing has re-branded itself this year
(September 2025) from Ford Performance; consequently, institutional advertising is needed as
the firm is also entering a new market. Moreover, the organization’s product line (motorsport &
street performance vehicles) is its bread and butter; thus, product advertising is incorporated
strategically. Additionally, competitive product advertising is utilized; Ford Racing has
competition in both motorsport and street performance departments. Therefore, the
organization needs to establish brand awareness among its competitors. Additionally,
comparative advertising will demonstrate how the firm’s narrative differs from its competitors;
however, this is more of a long-term campaign objective.
Sales Promotion
Consumers are the hub of Ford Racing’s target audience; its product promotions for the
performance department are strategically distributed. Loyalty programs, multiple-purchase
offers, rebates, and product placement are tactics utilized by the firm. Additionally, promotions
in large trade shows such as SEMA, a world-renowned automotive trade show, are the perfect
stage for Ford Racing to amplify its rebranding initiative. Furthermore, public relations is also
included in the organization’s influence activities. Investor relations, media relations, event
sponsorships, and overall generating a buzz are tactics incorporated in Ford Racing’s public
relations plan.
