What have you learned through the rough seasons /failures of life?
Through the rough seasons and failures of life I have learned that every successful person
experience setback during their life in order to become successful. To become successful, a
person should not simply overcome failures, but also learn from past mistakes (Faitos, 2020). By
experiencing setbacks in my life, I only think of failures and setbacks as a lesson for me in order
to become a better person and closer to our Lord. In Psalm 145:14, the Lord tells us that God is
always watching us and allowing us to fail in order to grow closer to him.
What is the difference between a man-centered approach to servant leadership and God-
centered one?
The difference between a man-centered approach to servant leadership and God-centered
one is that the man-centered approach to servant leadership focuses on the person’s interest,
personal gain, and recognition. On the other hand, A God-centered servant leadership
emphasizes on serving others with kindness, compassion, and integrity.
What are some of the challenges of practically practicing servant leadership?
Some challenges of practically practicing servant leadership are it works against
traditional authority, it makes employees less motivated, and it does not fit every business.
Practicing servant leadership can be challenging because leaders have limited authority to their
employees and to be a servant leader, leaders must sublimate their egos. Secondly, servant
leadership can lead to a less motivated work environment because it creates a mindset for the
employees that their supervisors and managers will always step in to assist employees to resolve
work challenges and personal issues. Lastly, practicing servant leadership is not suitable for

every business, it is a daunting task to successfully implement a successful leadership system
because it requires a fully committed employees to promote and develop personal and
professional growth in the organization (Quain, 2018).
How does biblical, covenantal perspective inform our understanding of servant leadership?
A truly effective leadership is how the leader creates a healthy and self-sustaining
organization that does things with integrity. The covenantal perspective inform our
understanding of servant leadership by influencing leaders to provide a self-sustaining culture
where employees can be responsible of the organizational processes, and creating an
organization where everyone can work efficiently while taking care of each person’s needs
(Fischer, 2021).
