Proper Behavior in the Workplace
•An organization with a polite and respectful staff is likely
to be a more cohesive, productive, and ultimately
successful.
•Rude behavior has become more common in the
workplace. This improper behavior, and poor business
etiquette has caused poor performance within an
organization (Crampton).
Proper Business Dress
•Vis ual appearance does make an impact in today’s
society.
•The appropriate dress may depend on a company’s
culture and who you are working with.
•A well polished look shows appropriate respect for clients
and co-workers.
•
It is important to remember that as an employee, you
should represent the organization well through proper
dress (Schrijver).
