ENTREPRENEURIAL PERSONALITY OVERVIEW
For my Entrepreneurial Personality Overview, questions 1-4 I scored 15 out of 20 I would
classify myself in the moderate range for self-efficacy. Questions 5-9 I scored 21 out of 25, this
score outlines my passion as a founder. For perseverance questions 10-13, I surprisingly scored
low due to my initial answers, with an 8 out of 20. For promotion focus I scored a 9 out of 10
and for prevention focus a 10 out of 10. For the final two ranked sections I favored a
comprehensive planning style and expert professionalism. I was pleased with these results
although having a comprehensive plan of our own is not always in our best interest. Isaiah 55:8-9
is a great reminder to all Christian entrepreneurs that Gods plans are always greater than our
own. ““For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, “declares
the LORD. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and
my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Scoring
Scoring the Entrepreneurial Personality Overview is done is sections. Questions 1 through 4
measure self-efficacy from Chapter 1. Add up your score on these four items. The higher the
score, the stronger your self-efficacy. Successful entrepreneurs tend to have above-average levels
of self-efficacy. Questions 5 through 9 measure your level of passion as a founder. Add up your
score on these five items. The higher your score, the stronger your level of passion. Successful
entrepreneurs demonstrate high levels of passion for their business. Note that there are two other
roles entrepreneurs find themselves in—as inventors and as business developers in established
firms. There are different scales for measuring passion in those roles. Questions 10 through 13
measure your perseverance. Add up your score on these four items. The higher the score, the
stronger your perseverance, and successful entrepreneurs have above-average perseverance
levels. Questions 14 and 15 measure your promotion focus. Add up your score on these two
items. The higher the score, the stronger your promotion focus. Questions 16 and 17 measure
your prevention focus. Add up your score on these two items. The higher the score, the stronger
your prevention focus. The best entrepreneurs show both promotion and prevention orientations.
The ABCDE ranking shows your planning style: “A” is a comprehensive planning style, “B” is a
critical-point planning style, “C” is an opportunistic planning style, “D” is a reactive planning
style, and “E” is a habitual planning style. Entrepreneurial success is greatest for comprehensive
planners and decreases for each successive style. The FGH ranking shows your level of
professionalization: “F” is the expert professionalization, “G” is specialized, and “H” is
minimalized professionalization.
