NARRATIVE DESIGN ASSIGNMENT
Description of Narrative Design
An elucidation system defines a narrative design, essentially ten different written methods to
describe underlying motifs in expressing an idea. The term Narrate is employed to narrate a story
in great detail, thereby illuminating the narrative of an individual as used by researchers through
this method (Creswell & Poth, 2018). By gathering life experiences and writing about them, they
accomplish this task. The narrative describes the phenomena under investigation, including an
illness or a procedure (Creswell et al., 2018). The selection of records by narrative researchers is
diverse, with examples including a biographical study where the narrator writes about an
individual's life experiences. The story is authored by the individual who is the focus of its
investigation, known as autoethnography—a personal account of the story that someone has told,
known as a "Life Story. “The oral tradition is a compilation of personal experiences and
motivations (Creswell et al., 2018).
An approach should be implemented once it is established whether the narrative research design
will benefit this research problem. The researcher must choose the subject of their narrative
research design once they have demonstrated that it would most effectively address the problem
and questions, thus enabling the collection of appropriate stories. When collecting stories, it is
beneficial to think about the data's development and consider how to incorporate relevant
information into the analysis (Creswell et al., 2018).
Problems with Narrative Design
NARRATIVE DESIGN ASSIGNMENT
The challenge with this method is to capture the various stages of a person's life and use it in the
narrated form that accurately conveys their personal experiences. Problems occur when
accumulating, scrutinizing, and reworking the narrative (Creswell et al., 2018). Another obstacle
is identifying the owner and author of the story. There may be a point when narratives compete
with each other. What story would be appropriate? These problems and challenges arise during a
narrative design (Creswell et al., 2018).
