I chose the journal articleEvaluating the Accessibility of Special Education Cooperative
Websites for Individuals with Disabilities. This study looks at education materials and the school
system itself on how accessible it is for individuals with disabilities (Baule, 2019). The study
research is not limited to just in person education. It is also online resources. The study I chose
for this post used a mixed method approach to their study. The study also used a previous study
that was performed by Pendergast and followed his method (Pendergast, 2017).
If I personally were to be doing research for this topic, there are a few kinds of research
approaches I would use. My first research approach would be positivism. This research style of
first-hand knowledge research is based on the researcher's own direct knowledge. This would be
because I am disabled and have the perspective of a disabled person and the castability out there.
I have extensive experience in accessibility in the education area. With this kind of experience,
the positivism method would be a good fit for research. One of the other kinds of research
methods would be pragmatism. This method takes into account all involved and many different
perspectives. This choice is also driven by my experience. I have a background in nonprofits
with a human services emphasis. This has taught me to look at a problem or project from many
perspectives. Also, having a disability, I have come to learn that people may need to be educated
about how to be accommodating. That is a perspective I have seen be looked over many times.
This is where the empathy this method can use comes into play (Heinonen & Strandvik, 2022).
The project I am going to be doing is about accessibility in all walks of life for people
with disabilities. This is not limited to just an education setting. It is will also not limited to just
one kind of disability. As a person with a disability, there is a lot of improvement that needs to
be made. There are some areas that are excelling at accessibility for those with disabilities, while
others are failing miserably. One real world example is Walt Disney World. They go above and
beyond to make their parks as accessible to people with disabilities. The research question I am
focused on is why there is such an obstacle to making the world more accessible to those with
disabilities. As with the article I chose for this post, I would use the positivism approach first
because of how much first hand knowledge in many different scenarios that can apply to the
project. I have had to advocate for myself in education, medical, social, legal and other kinds of
settings. The other approach would be the pragmatism approach. This is because of having a
human services background; I know often it needs to be brought to the attention of the educator,
physician, leadership and others that adjustments end up being made. These scenarios need to be
approached from all perspectives to be successful in the end.
Binging in the Merida textbook and what I have learned in it first is to "work willingly at
whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people" (Colossians
3:23, New Living Translation). While doing anything in life, we need to make sure we're being
driven by what God wants for us (Merida et al., 2015). I have referred to doing this research
because I have first hand knowledge of the issue and can seem self-serving, but that is not the
case. I want to make things easier for those around me and those that come after me that are
living with a disability. We should be allowed to live as normal of a life as we can without
obstacles that can be removed or modified. I am very good at advocating for others and myself.
Many people with and even without a disability are not skilled in advocating. There are many
times that they should not have to. The steps to making things accessible should be in place
already. Ultimately, this kind of research can only help. It may show cracks in the system and
embarrass people that are not providing appropriate accessibility where the Americans with
Disabilities Act law says it needs to be.

One of the most important is the communication that happens. When you are a trusted leader,
your employees will feel comfortable in having open communication with you (Freysteinson et
al., 2021). Taking a bible approach, we are asking our employees to trust us much as God asks us
to trust him. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take" (Proverbs 3:5-6, New
Living Translation). We want our employees to follow our lead when they do not fully
understand why just like God does in this verse. To be trusted leaders, we need to lean on God at
all times.

Destiny McGhee TRUST
Destiny, I enjoyed reading your post and think the topic is very relevant to the world we are
living in now. Trust is hard to come by nowadays, and in the workplace, depending on the
environment, it can even be harder to come by. In the current work environment, people are
being asked to perform harder for less. I think for us to be trusted leaders, we need to know what
that means. Trust is something that is uncompromised by doubt (Breuer & Salzmann, 2020). We
want to make sure that, as leaders, we are fostering trust. Building and maintaining trust will
bring loyalty from our employees. Employees cannot do their best work if they doubt others'
intentions or capacities. When there are loyal employees, it can cut down on employee turnover.
Also, when the people we are leading trust us, they will feel more satisfied at work. Staff then
becomes more productive and feel like they are part of a team. Leadership trust creates a stable
foundation for employees and their organizations to be flexible to make changes when needed.

Ronald Lamb Personal finance education
Ronald, I enjoyed reading your post. Personal finance education should start early at both
home and school. I think teaching personal financial literacy is very important and needs to be
taught in middle school/junior high and again in high school. I especially think in senior year, as
students are heading off to college and possibly going to sign their life away when it comes to
student loans. Also, as students are starting college, they could teach a phase of it as the students
are taking out loans. Personal finance concepts could even begin being taught in elementary
(Matheson et al., 2020). Personal finance easily goes hand in hand with math education. When it
is taught in schools, it gives the student the education and the know how to manage their
resources and are able to make a stable financial plan for a lifetime. Financial planning is often
not discussed in the home, which makes it even more important to be teaching in schools
(Solomon & Sithole, 2018). Overall it is a very important thing to know at any stage of life. It is
so important that there are many bible verses supporting handing over your finances.
Being greedy with money is something that are not financially literate can easily become.
God warns us about that in "greed brings grief to the whole family, but those who hate bribes
will live (Proverbs 15:27, New Living Translation). If someone has an educated grasp on
personal finance would not have a need to be greedy because they have a sound plan.
