Individual Assignment B
I am an entrepreneur in Gresik, Indonesia, where I specialize in the lease and
management of warehouses. I provide a broad range of warehouse options situated in locations
with easy access to toll roads and proximity to industrial districts, and we primarily work with
state-owned enterprises. Our clients include PT. Wilmar International, PT. Pupuk Indonesia and
PT. Petrokimia Gresik.
In 2020, Indonesia's government temporarily stopped all business operations for tenants
and landlords, specifically in the property business. Consequently, my business faced significant
economic implications as tenants were unlikely to be able to pay their rent. I would say I am not
a creative person. However, such dramatic market fluctuations have forced me to be creative in
learning about innovation and marketing under increased competition conditions.
A supportive and rewarding environment of creative ideas is helpful since processing the
internal means required to think creatively may be insufficient without support, such as a means
of putting ideas forward. With many foreign investors trying to expand their businesses in
Indonesia, my business faces increased opportunities and competition, which illustrates a need
for change. As a result, I expect my team and I to innovate in pricing and marketing strategy.
Notwithstanding, I understand that these features can be only some strategies to build a
tremendous organizational change (Proctor, 2018). Due to the market challenges we faced during
the pandemic, remaining competitors, and newly open opportunities, my organization needs to
focus on disruptive ideas. Building a competitive edge in the face of growing rivalry requires
focusing on customers, markets, and legal regulations.

The warehouse and leasing business relies on available projects and a vibrant commodity
economy. Freeport Smelter Development is a new mega project in Gresik and is a significant
potential client focusing on building copper refineries. The company produces raw materials for
the automotive and electrical industries, giving our organization a strategic advantage in
providing warehouse services. The plant will also attract foreign and local workers who need
warehouse services for their household items, among other things. However, as part of the
organizational change, Langgeng must integrate cultural adaptability to serve this clientele. This
adaptation requires integrating diversity in language, culture, business practices, and human
resources management strategies.
A modern business needs new problem-solving and decision-making strategies due to
increased competition, building larger markets, strategic planning, and teamwork. With that
being said, I intend to learn about accepting the uncertainty of today's market and, if possible,
predict at least some of the market fluctuations. The supply chain has faced significant
unpredictability in the last two years, affecting my company's functioning. I realize that
sometimes creativity and change is not an option but the only choice that remains alive as a
business (Proctor, 2018). I hope to develop the ability to embrace my creative side and be more
comfortable with it. I want to learn what strategies would help me overcome the existing
challenges and succeed in the uncertainty from both short-term and long-term perspectives.
Becoming more flexible is the responsibility of any entrepreneur who wants to benefit their
business and the community.

Businesses risk losing market share and profitability when they fail to adjust to market
harshness. Business transformation enables a company to be adaptable and sensitive to
alterations in consumer requirements and market trends. Changes to a company's business
strategy, products or services, and marketing methods might assist it in remaining competitive
and attracting new customers.
Our business has decided to adopt a new pricing strategy to reflect consumer needs and
market developments better. Prices on certain goods and services will change, and new pricing
tiers will be introduced. I will conduct market research to see how much competitors charge for
services similar to warehouse lease and management. Market research entails compiling data on
the size and characteristics of the warehouses. The services offered include location, safety,
technology, and fee schedules. I want to pinpoint the value the company's offerings offer clients.
Pricing strategy adjustment will benefit our financial situation and the general client experience
(Hennecke, 2019). All our clients will be urged to check the updated price alternatives and
contact us if they have any queries or issues. Pricing is a strategy that helps navigate through
economic unpredictability.
A new marketing plan will emphasize using social media channels to reach a larger
audience, raise brand awareness, draw in particular demographics, and boost conversions. I can
help with creating marketing catchphrases. A slogan is a succinct phrase or term intended to
express the core of a company or a product and forge a lasting impression on customers. I
consider the target market, distinguishing qualities of the good or service, and the main points of
the company's messaging while coming up with a slogan. An illustration might be "Warehouse
leasing and management for a smarter supply chain." The slogan will be included in the newly
redesigned website. A better website enhances the user experience (Katsikeas et al., 2019). We

will be spending money on influencer marketing to reach a younger audience and tap into new
markets to stay competitive. A more data-driven and individualized strategy will help us increase
consumer engagement and boost revenues overall.
Automation is crucial for warehouse leasing. I will examine warehouse operations to see
where automation might boost productivity, cut costs, and enhance customer service, such as
inventory tracking. Investing in real-time inventory tracking software that monitors the
warehouse's inventory levels and allows tracking goods from receiving to shipping is crucial.
Automation, such as forecasting software, forecasts future inventory demands and makes wise
product selection and stocking decisions (Benanav, 2020). This program analyzes historical data,
client demand, and trends by automating and streamlining the inventory monitoring process with
barcode scanning devices. Modern businesses will require modern solutions (Proctor, 2018). The
company will always have access to accurate and current data. I will review and evaluate the
data produced by the program regularly to spot patterns and trends in client demand inventory
levels and allows the warehouse to be prepared for changes in demand.
