I. Introduction
A. There are negative factors in the workplace that contribute to burn out and hinder
workplace productivity.
1. What is the definition of burnout?
a. According to Bayes et al. (2021), “Burnout is a state of exhaustion
resulting from prolonged excessive workplace stress” (p. 686).
B. Negative factors that can hinder productivity in the workplace.
II. Information that will enable you to understand what lowers productivity.
A. Disengagement: when subordinates would not like to be involved in workplace
affairs.
1. How to boost engagement.
i. Improve morale.
ii. Invite constructive criticism.
iii. Lower stress levels.
B. Lack of trust means that colleagues have different goals and are not committed to one
another.
1. increasing trust levels can be done by:
i. being honest.
ii. being helpful to your fellow colleagues.
iii. effective communication.

C. Job burnout: “deepening worldwide and some theoretical models are proposed, such
as the burnout-engagement continuum” (Yu et al., 2023, p. 389).
1. Bakker and de Vries (2021) state that “High job demand and low job resources
may cause job strain and eventually result in burnout” (p. 1).
II. Increasing team productivity
A. Strategies formed that will create a more productive environment.
1. Show empathy and practice active listening.
a. Listening means that individuals respect one another.
2. Managers should be a decent role model.
a. Have a good reputation in order to encourage others to do their best
work.
3. Bosses must ensure that there is a good environment to work in.
a. According to Kabir et al., (2023), “A decent work environment is a
crucial concept for promoting work-life balance” (p. 297).
b. Ensure that the environment is stable.
c. Wages should be fair to reduce turnover rates.
d. The rights of workers need to be respected.
e. Value the work of subordinates.
B. How to motivate the workplace.
1. Recognize their efforts.
a. Incentives will raise positive energy.
i. Schwartz et al. (2021) states “how effective incentive schemes
motivate employees and keep down costs” (p. 132).

2. The workplace environment must be welcoming.
3. Encourage everyone to work as a team.
4. Support the well-being of subordinates.
III. It is Essential to Ensure that Employees are Happy
A. High innovation can increase an organization’s competitive edge.
1. This is a proactive way of doing business.
B. When employees take days off, it costs money to find someone to cover for them.
1. Ruhle and Breitsohl (2022) state that “Workplace attendance behaviors, that is,
absenteeism and presenteeism, are important to both organizations and individuals” (p. 973).
C. Steps that can be taken for a better reputation.
1. Having a decent reputation can bring in more business.
2. Sales will increase.
3. Excellent customer service increases the reputation of organizations.
4. Practicing transparency enables customers to trust in your services or products.
D. How to encourage customers to be more loyal to your product.
1. Offer services or products at a better price than your competition.
2. Ensure that the website and physical store are convenient.
a. “Increasing the number of internet users, how users use this interactive
tool as an effective part in purchasing actions and decisions, have attracted the

attention of experts and pundits. As the use of the internet expands” (Golmakani
et al., 2022, p. 1843).
3. Make one of your services free for all.
4. Reward and value your customers.
III. Developing clarity in the workplace
A. Employers must ensure that the roles of their employees are defined.
1. When the roles of employees are defined, then they are clear about what their
job is.
B. Establish alignment in the workplace.
1. According to Leduc et al., “The workplace offers an ideal setting for promoting
health and well-being” (p. 29).
C. Communicate responsibilities.
1. Promote a healthy culture in your company.
2. Drive subordinates towards a bright future.
IV. Why companies must have a vision
A. Visions guide companies and gives them a sense of purpose.
B. When a company has a vision, then this can eliminate the number of mistakes that they
make.
C. When a company’s vision is clear, then the company will avoid wasting financial
resources.

1. The company can refer to the correct professionals and have direction.
V. Explanation of how to establish the values of companies
A. When a company has values, then this fosters collaboration.
B. Companies who have shared values align with the mission of their organization
1. Zasa and Buganza state how “Organizations contribute to developing a shared
vision and increase the alignment” (p. 415).
C. When organizations are engaged with the values of their companies, then their
communication is enhanced.
D. Being consistent with your organization’s values means understanding your
subordinates and their activities as well as their dealings.
1. Examples of violating ethics include ethics, scandals, and wasting financial
resources.
VI. Effective Team Habits
A. Practice honesty with one another in your business dealings.
B. Adhere to agreements with signatures.
1. For example, maintain confidentiality to avoid repercussions.
C. Engage in training activities and utilize incentives when necessary.
1. Learning new things encourages critical thinking.
2. Shaw and Ou (2020) state that “Critical thinking has been identified as a crucial
general skill contributing to academic and career success in the twenty-first century” (p. 1933)”

A. Research concerns how to manage companies.
1. Effective leaders are the best tool for success.
