CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM 2
Continuous improvement refers to the consistent application of efforts to the work
process, interaction with employees, and a positive work environment to gradually improve the
quality of goods or services offered. To change attitude and practice require a lot of time (Kim &
Nakhai. 2008). There are several elements to a good continuous improvement program;
1. Employee training and self-actualization.
Training employees to meet the highest craft and develop a positive working environment
that promotes self-actualization goals. This could be in terms of rewarding employees based on
the efforts put into their work.
2. Progressive leadership
Refers to governance that supports its employees' ideas and leadership that observe high
integrity standards for its employees and communicate instructions. I believe this promotes
clarity of objective attainment.
3. Bottom-up leadership
This means that the leadership favors an approach that involves every member of the
organization making contributions. This approach promotes equality in the work environment
and builds work relations. To achieve organizational goals members, have to work together
harmoniously (Wijayanti et al.,2020).
Several barriers exist in attaining these objectives, such as a leadership that discourages
its employees' efforts and lack of a positive working environment.
I fully agree with my classmate’s observations on the elements that promote continuous
improvement programs. I believe his assertions with leaders who "walk the walk" promote
effective and efficient work programs that improve the quality of goods or services provided.

Focusing on the root causes of problems also eliminates the time inefficiencies encountered if the
problem is identified later and reduces the extra effort required. Having a futuristic mindset
promotes idea formulation and prepares the organization for market fluctuations before they
become irreparable. All these elements have a positive influence on the quality of goods or
services and market maximization.
