Summation Assignment
Introduction
I have learned a lot throughout this course, which has deepened my knowledge of many
of these concepts. In this final assignment, I will be expanding on multiple factors that could
improve my current employment situation from the perspective of organizational improvement
and concepts that my leadership could implement or do better at. The three concepts I will focus
on are power types, the style of leaders or managers, and the lack of biblical beliefs. I will
expand on each of these concepts on how they affect my organization and the leadership within
my company.
Concepts Affecting my Organization
One main factor affecting my organization is the lack of biblical beliefs. Being in the
military can be a highly complex relationship balancing leading and being a Christian. I feel the
military used to have more Christian principles tied into its existence. As the years have passed,
this foundation has been eroded by limiting what leaders can do and say regarding religion. This
compromises leaders with a solid Christian foundation because they cannot practice what the
Bible says within our work environment.
Leadership styles also affect my organization. We have laissez-faire leaders at the
departmental manager level, which causes problems because they are not proactive. This
