Thread reply 2 questions of classmate.
1. The bodily resurrection of Jesus is central to the sermons
throughout Acts. Why is this so? Why is the physical resurrection
of Jesus such a vital teaching? What is its significance?
The bodily resurrection of Jesus was central to the sermons
throughout Acts because the Apostles believed that the
resurrection of Christ was a sign confirming that Christ was the
Messiah. Ger (2004) wrote: “The resurrection had proven that
behind the authority of Jesus was the power of God” (p. 49). The
physical resurrection also was proof of the power of God to raise
the dead thus assuring believers of their coming resurrection at the
end of days. Christ's resurrection is linked by Paul to justification.
He wrote that Christ “was delivered for our offenses, and was
raised again for our justification” (Romans 4:25 KJV). Cowan
(2018) writes: “The link between justification and resurrection is a
natural one. To pronounce a man righteous is to reverse the
condemnation which sentenced him to death” (p. 453-472).
2. The exaltation of Jesus to the right hand of the Father is a key
element in Peter’s speeches in Acts 2 and 5. What is the
significance of Jesus’ position at the Father’s right hand in relation
to prophecy, authority, and His ongoing ministry?
Peter emphasized the exaltation of Christ in his sermons as proof
of the identity of Christ as the Messiah. Ger (2004) writes: "Peter
demonstrated that Jesus' exaltation fulfilled this prophecy" (p. 75).
Peter did this by quoting from the scriptures. In Act 2:34 KJV Peter
quotes Psalm 110:1 KJV as proof that Christ has assumed the
position of power that was designated by a Psalm that had been
accepted for a long while as a prophecy concerning the Messiah.
The position of Christ at the Father's right hand signifies power and
advocacy in Romans 8:34 KJV Paul writes that Christ is at the right
hand of God, making intercession for us. Christ's ministry
continues it has never ceased he now works for us from that
exalted position at God's right hand.

You post does excellently in addressing all the aspects of the questions in an in-depth
manner. In this case, I have realized that you have used pieces of evidences from the bible and
other sources to support your arguments. This makes your work evidence-based hence
recommendable for any scholarly uses. For instance, I have agree with you on the point that
resurrection was a sign of proving that Christ was the messiah because the reading material you
provided illustrates that. Furthermore, Christ passed through trials and tribulations the fact that
made most people including the disciples doubt His divine role. However, through his death and
resurrection, He confirmed that He was indeed the messiah.

I find your reading informative on the topic about the sermon of peter on the resurrection of
Jesus. It is true that peter provides key information about the ministry, life, death, and
resurrection of Jesus Christ. Moreover, I also have to acknowledge the fact that your post is
heavily supported by relevant study sources and this makes it even more appropriate for
reference. The physical and spiritual symbols of Jesus Christ being at the right hand of God is
also well explained in your post and evidences are clearly visible. Furthermore, I also agree with
the fact that Christs ministry continues to be operation in His exalted place of glory.
