1: The things we learn about God is that he is sovereign, he is wise, and he is good.
2: When we answer that call, we will find that God is at work in our story to tell his story in
order to call others into the Bible’s big story.
3: “The Lord is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love
and truth” (Exod 34:6).
4: God, through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, illumines his truth to you.
Triangles
1: The Geneva Bible was the first English Bible translated completely from Greek and Hebrew.
Interestingly, it was also the first English Bible with verse divisions. (No, those weren’t inspired
by the Holy Spirit!
2: Church baggage can also develop from a poor church experience. The people who felt
marginalized or left out may respond to the Bible in a negative way, since it is the text of those
who cast them aside. The individuals who consistently felt lost in church because they did not
understand what was going on might find that they quickly assume the Bible is also hard to
understand and follow. Men or women who grew disconnected with their church because they
could not maintain the status level, they perceived around them each Sunday may be inclined to
view the Bible in a dismissive manner due to their church encounter.
3: The journey of English Bible translations is truly remarkable. From divine inspiration to
human authors, to hand copies, to printed copies, and finally to modern English translations that
we can hold in our hands (or view electronically on our mobile devices), believers today ought to
be in awe at the history of the translation of God’s Word. While many in the world still do not
have access to the Bible in their language, God forbid that we take for granted the privilege of
reading his revelation of himself to us. Knowing some of the journey the Bible has taken ought
to impassion us to know God better through his Word and to share that Word with others.
Circles
1: Rebellion is a subtle inner vow that we make at a personal level in our deepest heart that says,
‘I reserve the right to make the final decision. I deserve the right to make the final decision. This
is truly what defines rebellion.
2: When the Holy Spirit draws your attention to something found in God’s Word, you are not
being inspired. Rather, the Holy Spirit is illuminating the truth found in the Bible to you. God,
through the Holy Spirit, inspired the Scriptures.
Hearts
1: “We are prone to wander, but God is prone to pursue. And He’s faster.”

The things we learn about God is that he is sovereign, he is wise, and he is good. Not matter how
many times we may mess up; God is always there for us. God loves to use us to tell his story to
other people so that they may begin a relationship. Unlike mankind, God is slow to anger and
abounding in his faithful love.
It was interesting to me that the Geneva Bible was the first English Bible translated completely
from Greek and Hebrew. Also, the journey of the English Bible translations. It is only by his
grace that we can have the bible today. We often take for granted the privilege of reading his
revelation and having so many options at our fingertips.
Church baggage and cliques do exist. A lot of people will come to church and feel they do not fit
in because they don’t have a group. Church is for everyone. We to often judge people because
they sin differently than us and that tends to push people away from the church. God loves all of
us despite our sins and the Bible tells us to love you neighbor as yourself.
Rebellion is a subtle inner vow when we say that we reserve the right to make final decision.
Gods word is the final decision and anything outside of that is rebellion. Delayed obedience is
still disobedience. The words in the bible never change. How we read them from day to day may
have a different effect on us depending on our situations
We are prone to wander, but God is prone to pursue. And he is faster. After reading chapters 6-11
this one line stuck out to me the most. We are prone to stray from the path more often than not.
But God is always pursuing us and helping us get back on the right track if we are willing to
accept his help. No matter how far we may stray off the path, he is always in pursuit of us and
wanting to have a relationship with us.

At Christmas, a church sets up a manger scene as a Christmas decoration. If this decoration
includes three wise men, it is communicating something that is not found in Scripture. The Bible
never addresses how many wise men visited Jesus. Furthermore, according to the Bible, the wise
men were not present at the birth of Jesus
