There are several factors in participative decision making. The pros of it is
that there is an increase in productivity which means that the employee does
not have higher ups breathing down their necks, which in return causes the
employee to assume responsibilities and causes more productivity. Another
trait is job satisfaction which causes the employee to be more happy in their
jobs. Various other pros about this decision making is motivation, improved
quality of life and reduced cost to the corporation that is implementing this
type of decision making.
However just like any other decision making, there are cons to this type of
decision making. The decision making slows down because when there are
many people involved in the decision making process it causes the process to
be a lot more slow and it can hinder any project. One last thing is that is can
cause a security issue. As mentioned before when there are a lot of people
involved during the early stages it can be cause a security threat when a lot of
people know information pertaining to the project.

Question 17
Your Answer:
(Use a minimum of two paragraphs to address the following question)
Describe three elements of distribution and how they function.
Lets begin with what is distribution channel. A distribution channel is what
determines the path goods and services will take from the manufacturer to
the nal consumer. The three types of channels is direct. This channel is when
a company is full responsible for delivering products to consumers. These
goods and services do not go through any middle man before reaching their
nal destination. This type of channel gives manufacturers total control over
distribution channel. The second is the indirect channel which are when
products are delivered by the middle man, and not by the sellers themselves.
The middle man can range from wholesalers, retailers or distributors. Through
this channel manufactures do not have control over their distribution
channels.
Lastly, the last channel is hybrid which are a mix of direct and indirect
channels. This type of channel has a partnership with intermediaries but the
manufacturer still has control of their products when it becomes in contact
with the customers. An example of this is when a brand promotes products
online but do not deliver them directly to the customer. The manufacturer has
control and they can pick which distributor the want as well.
