APOL 120
1- The most common fallacy is the appeal of ignorance. We see this all the time on TV and
the political arena. All we have to do is turn on the news and we see all that is happening
with President Trump and how they are trying with all of their might to destroy anything
good Trump has done and how they try to tarnish his reputation at every turn. They say
their conclusion is true because there is no facts to state otherwise. Another form that is
used is threw threats so that the people will fall in line and follow just like the devil’s
minions.
2- I do not think I used fallacies in my own evangelizing but what I do want to convey is
that Jesus is returning and that we must repent and turn to Jesus by accepting his grace
and mercy and accepting him as our Lord and savior and the only way to God id through
Jesus Christ. What is written will come to pass.
3- The commercials that come to mind are the Colgate commercial that they say there’s is
the best and that the dentist recommends that one and if you use that toothpaste then
you don’t have to go to the dentist more often. The other commercial is the coca cola
that says if you drink the coke that you are going to be happy. They say you open a can
of happiness!
4- In my own I believe that you must use the word of God and not add, alter or take away
anything. Today there are many churches that are doing just that in order to fill up there
church they want to preach what the people want to hear and not what God wants. For
example, the acceptance of being Gay. Yes, we have to love the sinner but not the sin.
We cannot say things incorrectly or in a misleading way because we are responsible for
everything we do and say. We cannot lead people down the wrong way we are supposed
to lead them to their salvation threw Jesus Christ. We have to have the correct
information and the Bible to back us up with God’s word.
