Logic of Argument:
Vaccination is crucial to children especially when we are given the privilege to vaccines. The
issue with the controversy concerning vaccinations is the fact that many individuals pose
against vaccines for reasons such as it being an unnatural remedy or going against a
religious say.
As quoted, “vaccines are used to prevent the development of serious diseases in a host” and
used to kill forms or bacteria or viruses (Barbacariu, C.L., 2014). It would not make sense
that it can harm children considering that it has prevented “20 million cases of diseases and
including over 40,000 deaths” (Orenstein, W.A., & Ahemd, R. 2017).
This controversy is unnecessary and I believe that it is another way to stray away from what
is ethical for children.
Analyze and evaluate the
information:
Parents also argue that they are anti-vaccination because of religious purposes.
The issue with this statement is the fact that religion has no say in whether a
child gets vaccinated or not.
As quoted by several doctors religion should not be the first indicator of a child’s
health (Pelčić,G., Karačić,S., Mikirtichan, G.L., Kubar, O.I.,CLeavitt, F.J., Tai, M.C.,
Morishita, N., Vuletić, S., & Tomaševic, L.,2016). Religion should not be used as
an excuse for parents to refrain from taking their child to get vaccinated
because this is a life or death situation and should be taken with dire.
Make an informed decision:
I have come to a final decision that children should get vaccinate
regardless of religious purposes or natural remedy. If a child is sick,
parents should immediately escort their child to see a doctor and get
treated before the sickness gets worse.
