What am I excited or passionate about?
Three interests and hobbies I am excited about or passionate about are my passion for my
future career, the creation of my curriculum and going to college for educational studies. My first
job and only job has been being a teacher in childcare and I didn’t know how much fun I would
have working with children everyday. Working for different daycares I’ve noticed a lot of patterns
and realized what all you can do with childcare services. Experiencing being a teacher and also
micro managing the daycares because I was given the director position inspired me to start my
own center. Getting the opportunity to be in charge gave me a little experience of having my
own daycare and running it successfully. I enjoyed being a teacher and a director so much its
led me to further my knowledge with children and education as a whole. Due to my first job
being a teacher I then made my mind up of what I wanted to major in once I started college.
Going to ASU and majoring in educational studies has been a learning experience I never knew
I needed to become successful with my future goals. Going to college was always the plan but
picking a major that will help with my future career is an extra bonus. Owning a daycare is the
big part but creating a curriculum to use inside my daycare and other owners could also support
my future career. Going to college and learning about a child’s development and the breakdown
of education helps me learn more about a curriculum that fits with a child’s age and their
development stages. All 3 of my passions and/or hobbies relate to my future career. If being a
daycare owner they help balance each other to ensure my success.
