Interest in New Developments
In pursuing my career as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Complete Health, a primary care
facility operating under a value-based care model, I am particularly intrigued by recent
advancements in healthcare delivery. Areas such as patient-centered care, telehealth integration,
and chronic disease management are of utmost interest (Noorbakhsh-Sabet et al., 2019). These
developments reflect the evolving needs of our patient population and align closely with
Complete Health's mission to provide comprehensive and efficient healthcare solutions.
Current Skills and Strengths
The skills that could still be learned are more encompassing and relate to knowledge
enhancement, skills in communication with the patients, and a strong integration of resources
such as research. It is important to note that all these skills are essential in providing quality care,
thereby building patient trust and satisfaction. Furthermore, I possess good teamwork and
flexibility skills, enabling me to work effectively in most healthcare settings.
Repositioning My Career
As I focus on changing my position to become an NP, I acknowledge the need for
improved competence. The recommendations for short-term changes also include enrolling in an
advanced education program in telehealth and chronic care management. Discussions with other
well-practiced NPs working in primary care will help provide advice and ideas (Rosa et al.,
2020). Practical authorized skills acquired during the required rotations and specialty training
will give me a head start on an NP's challenging tasks at Complete Health.
Work Values
3
The following lists my career values in congruence with Complete Health's mission
statement: I value caring for patients, respecting patient rights, and incorporating novel
healthcare solutions to efficiently ensure the best patient care. I appreciate any event that boosts
the career path and development of an individual or firm, enhances friendly working conditions
and practices, and improves the balance between the working individuals, family, and self. I
believe scheduling and access to professional development are crucial in a given working
environment.
Must-Haves in a Job
In seeking employment as an NP, key considerations include flexible work hours that
accommodate personal commitments, access to advanced training opportunities, and a
collaborative team environment that fosters continuous learning and professional development.
Limiting Factors
Despite the desire to strive for career growth in Complete Health, some factors, such as
geographical boundaries and family obligations, will affect flexibility and mobility at work.
However, those factors shall not deter me from striving to be the best in patient care or
maintaining my professional development within the current community (Alacovska et al.,
2021).
Considering External Opportunities
While my focus remains on advancing within Complete Health, I remain open to external
opportunities that align with my career aspirations and personal development goals. This
strategic approach ensures I am well-positioned to leverage new experiences and challenges
contributing to my professional growth as an NP.
Conclusion
4
In conclusion, the adoption of artificial intelligence in the provision of health care is one
of the most significant reforms that can be embraced in the medical field. Therefore,
advancements in AI technologies have been a guide towards improving the accuracy of
diagnosis, treatment regimens and the general quality and outcome of the patients. Thus,
integrating such advancements should be guided by ethical factors and involve close cooperation
between clinicians and IT specialists. Finally, only realizing the potential of AI’s capacity for
change is expected to reinvent the health system in the next several years.
