The Team Member Evaluation and Feedback Plan
Introduction
In the present work environment, we have a project team of five people and have been
working for the past three months on different tasks. To maintain the efficiency of our team, I
evaluated myself and two other team members employing the scale discussed in the textbook.
With this perspective, this evaluation seeks to assess the strengths and areas the team needs to
work on to elicit positive feedback to improve the team's performance (Barrett, 2014).
Evaluation Analysis
I self-assessed myself and two subordinates, Person 1 and Person 2, on the nine
attributes. The following table summarizes the ratings:
Attribute Self P1 P2
Optimistic view of the team’s work 4 5 4
Did a fair share of work 3 4 2
Was actively involved in all the meetings 3 2 4
Easy to work with 4 3 5
Participated actively in team discussions process and
in offering substantial inputs in team deliverables
4 3 3
Effective listener reacts to the ideas of other people 4 3 5
Good problem-solving ability 4 4 3
Able to sum up the team’s ideas effectively 3 4 4
Reliable (team could rely on him or her) 4 4 3

Feedback Plan
Self:
Strengths: Ability to solve problems (4).
Areas for Improvement: Fully engaged in all the meetings (3).
Feedback Plan
To enhance the level of participation, I will have some questions and issues
investigated before the meeting and engage in more activities during discussions.
I will also ask my team members how they think I can help most.
Person 1:
Strengths: Like the team’s work (5), Dependable/Responsible (4).
Areas for Improvement: Actively attended all the meetings (2).
Feedback Plan
Strengths: Praise them for their positive attitude, which makes the atmosphere in
the team brighter, and for their reliability, which helps achieve deadlines for the
project.
Improvement: Make Person 1 participate more in the meetings by delegating
some tasks or topics of discussion to them and making the atmosphere more open
for their contribution.
Person 2:
Strengths: Cooperative (Easy to talk with) (5) Listens to others, actively responds
to their ideas (5).
4
Areas for Improvement: Have fulfilled equitable work (2).
Feedback Plan
Strengths: Stress the fact that they are team players and good listeners, which
creates a good working atmosphere.
Improvement: Speak about how to load the work more fairly, redistribute the
tasks, and set proper expectations to contribute more evenly.
Conclusion
One of the key aspects for groups to remain effective is the ability to continuously assess
the group and individuals in it. If we admit our achievements and discuss our weaknesses, we
can improve our interaction and have better project results. It also aids individual development,
which is instrumental in creating a synergy that sees the team pull in the same direction toward
attaining organizational objectives.
