Research Topic Selection: Space Exploration
Space exploration is one of the fantastic subjects where that has sparked scientific curiosity and
enhanced space technology. Thus, when selecting these topics, it is essential to narrow to
specific, researchable questions which will lead to a comprehensive analysis and discussion.
Having explored the opposing viewpoints of the resource center and the CQ researcher, point
view reference centre and ProQuest newspaper I have identified three potential research
questions and they are;
What are the benefits and challenges in terms of economy do the private companies have when
they enter the space exploration industry?
How is it possible to enhance scientific discoveries and geopolitical relations between the
international collaborators in the space exploration?
Should the focus of the space exploration be based on the manned mission or should the robot
take over the mission to help maximize the scientific output and safety?
After analyzing the three questions then, I settled on the third question, which states, "Should the
focus of the space exploration be based on the manned mission or should the robot take over the
mission to help maximize the scientific output and safety?" the reason is that we have an
advanced technology, especially in robotic, artificial intelligence , and machine learning. Also
there is various risk space exploration because to the human travelers.
Thesis statement
The advance in technology should cause space exploration to shift form manned missions to
robotic missions because the robotic mission shall offer grater scientific output, cost efficiency,
and human safety as compared to human space travel.
