Subj: Independent Research Project Report: Gun Violence related to accidental deaths of teens
IRP Summary:
The dataset that I chose for my IRP project is titled Gun violence related to accidental deaths of Teens.
The original dataset was for every state or location in the USA. From this, I analyzed the number of teens
killed in gun violence. I also examined if the location would have an impact on these accidents.
I imported the dataset into SAS and ran several analyses on the information. To obtain the descriptive
statistics, I started by characterizing the data. My next step was to compare the data using linear
regression. I then examined the outcomes. Accidental_deaths_teens are the name of the dataset I
utilized. The most recent data update was six years ago.
I searched for missing records using the characterized data and descriptive statistics, but none were
discovered. Additionally, I looked at how frequently accidents occur in Georgia and Florida based on
their geographical locations. Nevada and Nebraska have a substantially lower frequency than that. I then
conducted a linear regression to contrast the Accidents occur frequently in each location.
Issue Identification:
I am trying to analyze if each state significantly correlated with the frequency of accidental deaths of
teens through gun violence. Anyone planning to relocate with their family can use this knowledge to
make an educated choice of a new area.

In this IRP I will be using data set I found in Kaggle.
