Thomas C. Foster Book summary

Thomas C. Foster was born in Ohio in 1950. He studied English at Dartmouth and then later at Michigan State University, where he focussed on studying American, Irish, and British authors from the 20th and the 21st century. He began to write and teach in 1975 and continued to do so until he retired from the University of Michigan in 2014. In addition to How to Read Literature like a professor, he has also written Form and Society in Modern Literature, Seamus Heaney, and How to Read Novels Like a Professor.
