Victor Frankenstein
The creator of Frankenstein's monster. He was born in Geneva and studied in Ingolstadt. He is the protagonist of the novel, and it is his tale that Robert Walton narrates to his sister.
Alphonse Frankenstein
The father of Victor Frankenstein was a man of wealth and repute. He died after learning of the death of his dear Elizabeth.
Catherine Frankenstein
The mother of Victor Frankenstein had been the daughter of a friend of Alphonse Frankenstein. Upon her father's death, it was Alphonse who rescued her from poverty and later married her.
Elizabeth Lavenza
She was the daughter of an Italian noble family, but had been left orphaned after the death of her mother, and the loss of her father. Catherine Frankenstein had rescued her from the squalor of her Foster parent's home and had intended for her to marry her son upon reaching a suitable age. She was later in her life, the bride of Victor Frankenstein.
Henry Clerval
He was a close friend of Victor Frankenstein, and they had grown up together. Victor loved his company and it was his company that he sought even in the depths of his despair.
Felix
The son of De Lacey, he was a part of the family that Frankenstein's monster observed and learned from. Felix had rescued a Turkish merchant from the French government and so brought upon himself and his family the government's ire.
Agatha
She was the sister to Felix and the daughter of De Lacey. She had been sent to prison when her brother Felix had escaped with the Turkish Merchant and his daughter.
