Jocko Willink

Jocko Willink was born with the name John Gretton Willink on the 8th of September in 1971, in Torrington, Connecticut, USA. Jocko Willink commanded Navy SEAL Team 3’s Task Unit Bruiser during the Iraq war. He led the Unit to be the most highly decorated special operations unit in the whole war, and their contributions were said to be foundational in restoring peace to the Ar Ramadi region, which was widely described as the most hostile battlefield during the war. Jocko served in Navy Seals for twenty years, where he rose from the rank of an enlisted SEAL to that of a SEAL officer, and commander of Task Unit Bruiser.

Jocko returned from Iraq as a successful military commander and took over the training of a new generation of SEALs from the west coast. After retiring from the SEALs, Jocko co-founded Echelon Front, a consulting firm that has helped train executives of several successful startups and corporations that are numbered amongst the Fortune 500 companies. Jocko has authored several famous books, and he currently hosts a popular podcast, Jocko Podcast. He is also the CEO of Echelon Front.

Leif Babin

Leif Babin is a retired Navy SEAL Officer who was born in Woodsville, Texas. Lief began his military career with the Naval Academy, and he then served in the Navy for thirteen years before joining the Special Operations Unit Navy SEALs. Leif served nine years in the SEALs, during which time he was one of the Platoon Commanders of Task Unit Bruiser under Jocko Willink. Leif led many successful operations in the battle of Ramadi and returned to the United States to serve as a leadership trainer. In that role, Leif helped shape the future operators of the Navy SEALs and prepared them for the harsh conditions of combat.

Leif retired in 2011, when he co-founded Echelon Front, with his old commander from the Iraq War, Jocko Willink. Leif continues to serve as the president of the leadership consulting firm.
