Bernard Marx

Bernard Marx is an Alpha Plus male that works in the Hatchery and Conditioning center in Central London. He is employed in the psychology department and has a reputation for being efficient at his work but being extremely unorthodox in his personal life. His size sets him apart and makes him feel isolated, but as soon as he discovers a way to gain a better standing in society, his criticisms of modern society recede.

Lenina Crowne

A pretty Beta female that works in the embryo store, and is considered to be quite desirable by many of the men around her. Lenina is sexually promiscuous, has a materialistic mindset, and relies heavily on Soma to always feel happy and content. She develops an extremely complex relationship with John and fails to understand the right way to express her feelings for him.

Helmholtz Watson

He is an Alpha Plus male that excels at all spheres of his life, his mental acuity causes him to realize that something is missing in society. He and Bernard often meet to discuss their views on the prevailing conditions. He works in the emotional engineering college and is revered for his ability to craft memorable Hypnopaedic teachings.

John “the Savage”

John is the son of the Director of Hatchery and conditioning center, as Linda, his mother had mistakenly become pregnant and lost in the Savage Reservation. John is mistreated by the people of the reservation for being different and leaves it to enter civilized society with Bernard. John is unable to accommodate himself into modern society due to its lack of passion and emotional depth. John loves the stories crafted by William Shakespeare and relies on them to interpret the world around him.

Mustapha Mond

He is the World Controller of Western Europe that makes him one of the 10 Controllers in the world. He had earlier been a physicist and pursued science intending to find truth but later abandoned that goal for the sake of creating happiness in the world. He too has read Shakespeare and connects both with John and Helmholtz on a personal level.
