A letter to Jony 

Dear Jony,  

I hope this letter finds you in good health. The purpose of writing this letter is to inform                                   

you of the importance of working hand in school and being recognized as a student of exemplary                                 

character. Working hard does not have to be an obligation, of which many of our colleagues                               

always try to define why it matters to work not only at school but also, in all aspects of life. Life                                         

of education is like tilling the land for sowing and remembers you reap what you sow in life. It is                                       

with this approach, which has helped us to understand and demonstrate good education habits                           

and character.  

Based on the past discussion we had, you clearly indicated you have no interest in                             

working hard at school nor at life situations. This is what you told me to remember, “my friend, I                                     

am not obligated to work hard in class and this is has been discussed deeply with my parents and                                     

I have already told them not to have any expectations from.” As a friend, I asked you of the need                                       

to working hard in school and promised to reach to you about the importance of working hand                                 

and why you should work for the hand in school and make education the center of your life. I                                     

hope through this letter you will understand the importance of working hard in education. I also                               

hope through this you will find the motivation for your life and also be able to change your mind                                     

towards working hard in school. Simply based, this is a letter from me to a good friend of mine                                     

in school, whom I intend to help to see the value of life and the importance of working hard at                                       

school.

You have the innate skills and talents, which you were born with and these innate skills                               

need to be developed and sharpened. Education and school help in developing the foundation or                             

testing these skills and how to develop the core skills for the best outcome for your life. To                                   

define and develop these core skills you can go to school and attend class and workshops. These                                 

will help you to understand your talents and get to sharpen those skills. These innate talents and                                 

skills are central for supporting and helping you in different life situations and have a place in the                                   

community.  

Secondly, consider being taught about principles of budgeting and how to make good                         

financial decisions. In your daily living, you are unable to make the necessary decisions                           

regarding budgeting since you didn’t work hard at school. Therefore, the school gives knowledge                           

and this knowledge is ideal for your day to day survival and living. I find it interesting for me                                     

when I apply lessons taught in class in my daily life. This is why you should also concentrate on                                     

studies and ensure you try to understand the aspects being taught in class.  

Thirdly, think of education as a camp, which gives you different options and hiking trails,                             

which have different paths. The path you choose will definitely result in a given location. The                               

same is like education. It gives you a wider platform and view. The wider the viewer the wide are                                     

your options. It is important to use, develop, and evaluate the importance of working hard and                               

trying to achieve the good of a place. The society is not built on only one pillar. Education will                                     

give you different options, hence, it will widen your views in the modern community. Therefore,                             

you consider working hard in education. 

You also told me, “to be the change I want to see in the community.” This is a powerful                                     

statement and it shows me you have the knowledge of being the change you want to see. You

also told you desire to be a leader. A leader should work hard always and education gives one an                                     

opportunity of being a leader in the community. This is very important in life. Decide on the                                 

importance of working hard and gaining the value of life. Through working hard in education,                             

you get to be the change to want to see in the world and working hard will help you in achieving                                         

the particular change.  

Sometimes, the real world is difficult and hard to comprehend in life. It is challenging                             

and difficult since it is a process for challenging and engaging in real life situations, which are                                 

more difficult to tackle than class work. It is through this process I want to encourage you on the                                     

importance of working hard and ensuring you have the courage to tackle any challenges in life.                               

Sometimes, real life will throw you bones instead of tender meat. It will throw you skins instead                                 

of clothes. It is difficult to wear skin although before evolution will be lived in skin clothing.                                 

Therefore, you need to work hard in education and schooling. This will make you ready to tackle                                 

the different issues of life and through hard work, you will find peace and courage.  

I don’t want to be a philosopher, but, I need to let you know if you need to work hard,                                       

you will have to give and put effort for in your life. The effort of working hand is not through the                                         

simple things of life, but, to love to read and listen to advise. Also, if you are self­motivated and                                     

this can be achieved by having expectations and priorities. Expectations will help you to achieve                             

success and improve to meet the expectations of life. It is through work hard and good time                                 

management you will be able to gain confidence and value in life.  

I really hope this letter will be a guideline and motivator for making the necessary                             

decisions regarding life and with life. I wish you all the best in your education plans for now and                                     

the future.
