Mission Statement

C.O.R.E. Academy believes that within a safe environment, the core of instruction is best delivered in a

positive and inviting climate that encourages discovery and exploration through creative instructional

methods.

Hand and hand, a passionate commitment will be implored to bolster the confidence of students and

FuelEducation: CORE ACADEMY’S primary curriculum provider.

Fishtree: CORE ACADEMY'S supplemental curriculum provider.

ClassConnect: The online synchronous meeting platform where live class instruction and reviews take place for each course.

STI: State Test Intervention

OSS: Online School Solutions. The platform used for CORE ACADEMY courses and instruction in grades 6-12.

Parent: A responsible adult who assists students and monitors their progress in grades 3-10.

Office hours: A regular time set by teachers each week during which they are available to answer questions or assist students.

Asynchronous: Instruction that does not require students and teachers to be in a common place at the same time. Discussion boards are an example of an

asynchronous type of instruction.

Synchronous: Instruction that requires students and teachers to be in a common location at the same time. Chat rooms are examples of synchronous

interaction.
