For this week reference,I looked up the following:
The first article, "The State of the Art of Agile Kanban Method: Challenges and Opportunities," explores the Agile Kanban method within software project management. It identifies common tools used in the industry for progress monitoring, pointing out their limitations and proposing a Progress Monitoring Prototype Tool (PM-PT) to enhance software project monitoring. The PM-PT was evaluated by interviewing software practitioners, with initial results indicating its usefulness and effectiveness in project monitoring tasks.
The second article, "Improving the Progress Monitoring Task of Agile Kanban Method: An Enhanced Theoretical Framework and Its Implication," aims to address the shortcomings of the Agile Kanban method in progress monitoring. It develops an enhanced theoretical framework to improve this aspect, based on literature review and exploratory research. The framework is intended to assist project managers in effectively monitoring software development processes, contributing to the timely and budget-friendly delivery of software products.
The third article presents a systematic literature review focusing on the challenges of agile project management, specifically in managing project scope and handling changes. The study compiles findings from various sources to identify common obstacles and provides insights into how agile methodologies are applied to address these challenges effectively. Through a comprehensive analysis, the authors contribute to a deeper understanding of agile practices and propose solutions to enhance project management outcomes, particularly in dynamic and change-prone environments.
The fourth article examines the impacts of agile and lean practices on project constraints through a tertiary study, synthesizing existing research to assess their effects on critical project factors like time, cost, and quality. It highlights the benefits and implementation challenges of these methodologies, emphasizing the importance of strategic application to manage project constraints effectively.
The last article investigates the impact of agile methodologies on software project management within Pakistani software companies. It explores how adopting agile practices influences project outcomes, focusing on aspects like project delivery time, cost, quality, and client satisfaction. The study reveals positive effects of agile methodologies, highlighting their contribution to improving software project management by enhancing flexibility, efficiency, and stakeholder engagement in the context of Pakistan's software industry.
