During our class on Feb 20 / 22, you learned how to use the SuperTracker website (www.supertracker.usda.gov). USDA SuperTracker can help you plan, analyze, and track your diet and physical activity. These online activities will help you evaluate your diet quality and understand areas you need to improve your own health.
NOTE – If you prefer using other mobile apps to track your nutrition quality, you can certainly use one of them instead! Please contact Dr. Cha in advance!

(Length: Approximately 1 ½ to 2 pages, single-space, 12pt font size)
Question 1: Evaluate your own “Food Groups and Calories” for two days in terms of Grains, Vegetables, Fruits, Dairy, and Proteins. It is important for you to discuss both quantities and kinds of each food group, compared to your target (recommendations) by the USDA’s MyPlate.
Note to students: It would be helpful for you to review the USDA MyPlate analysis ppt (Feb 20 / 22 ppt)
Question 2: Evaluate your own “Nutrients” from the two days in terms of protein, carbohydrate, total fat, saturated fat, sodium (from Minerals), calcium (from Minerals), added sugar, folate (from Vitamins), Vitamin B12 (from Vitamins).
Question 3: While some of you have a healthy eating style / habit, everyone has room for improvement. After evaluating your own food group and nutrient reports, please comment on the top three aspects / areas you need to improve on your current eating patterns, compared to the dietary recommendations. When responding to this question (top two or three areas to improve), please discuss your proposed plan for changing specific eating behaviors.
