NARRATOR: Congratulations. You've reached the final week of the course. Now it's time to put everything you've learned into action with your capstone project, business plan final presentation. Your business idea can be a clinic, a home care agency, an adult day care center, a Healthcare Information Technology-- HIT-- or management consulting firm, a medical supply store, or another health care business approved by your instructor.

Your capstone project should include key elements of your business plan. Use one slide per prompt to organize your ideas clearly. For example, here's a sample Human Resources, HR, plan for a home care agency. Notice how it lists the owner, full time and part time physicians, office manager, and receptionist, along with their responsibilities and employment status.

Next, include a one-year budget plan. Estimate how much money is required to start your business, including start-up costs and first year expenses, and justify how you will finance it. Your final presentation should be eight to 12 slides, not including title and references, and formatted in APA style.

Include a transcript in the speaker notes or a separate Word document. Follow the prompts, organize your slides carefully, and use the HR and budget plan examples as guides. You're ready to showcase your skills and create a professional, complete health business plan. Good luck.
