World Music

For the response paper due Tuesday, during discussion session, please write 1-2 pages on a popular world music video.  Think about the music in relation to what Sut Jhally takes about in Dreamworlds 3.  Think and discuss the camera angles,THE IMAGES presented, and how the music and visual imagery represents various cultural values.  Please use the handout questions to further your examination.  This assignment is designed to allow you to express your own opinions and viewpoints.  Even if you do not agree with what Sut Jhally is talking about please explain why and how the video you choose contradicts his conclusions, etc.  Also remember when submitting your written work to include the name and link of the video/song because if we cannot watch your video we cannot grade what you discuss.  I hope you have fun with this and have a great weekend.
