To participate fully on this week’s Discussion Board, students should watch the films Young Frankensteinand Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein before the Wednesday posting is due. 

Brooks’ and Branaugh’s versions of Shelly’s novel were released 20 years apart. Young Frankenstein is number 13 on the American Film Institute’s list of funniest movies, while Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein has been roundly criticized for, among other things, not being as true to the novel as its title advertises.
