In the field of accounting, perhaps the most well-known certification is the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. However, there are many career paths in the accounting field and a wide variety of certifications that support those career paths other than the CPA. 

Identify at least three certifications that can be earned in the accounting field other than the CPA and outline the requirements and benefits of each. If a coworker were to ask you for a recommendation on which certificate to pursue or how to choose one, what would you recommend? Why?  

• Identify at least three roles that budgeting plays in helping managers control and monitor a business. Provide an example for each role.
