This paper uses data from a survey and requires the following sections: 

Cover page:  Title (should be a KISS-ME title), author, course title, date.

                                   

Introduction:  This should be a brief description (two paragraphs) of the background of the research problem. 

 

Research Problem:  This section should include description of the following:

Statement of the problem (one sentence)

Nature of the problem (one to two paragraphs providing additional details about problem)

Significance of the problem (two paragraphs, focusing on practical significance and scientific significance of the problem)

 

Hypothesis and Theory:  This section should include description of the following:

Hypothesis (one sentence)

Justification for the hypothesis (two paragraphs)

Analytical model (Figure 1)

Description of one’s analytical model (one paragraph)

 

Methodology:  This section should include description of the following:                                                                         

Research design employed (one paragraph)

      Detailed description of the research design employed and its advantages and disadvantages

Selection of the study participants design (one paragraph)

      Detailed description of how study participants were selected and the advantages and disadvantages of the procedures used

Data collection design (three to four paragraphs)    

      Detailed description of the procedures and instrument used in collecting the data.  Questionnaire items used must be described verbatim.  The advantages and disadvantages of the procedures used must be described.

Data analysis design (two paragraphs)

                                                      Detailed description of the statistical procedures used in analyzing the data.

 

Findings:  This section should include description of the following:

Univariate analysis: (one page)

Table 1, Frequency and percentage distribution of your dependent variable)

Bivariate analyses: (two pages)

Table 2, Percentage distribution of the dependent variable by your key independent variable        

Results of chi square test    

Results of independent samples t-test

Results of ANOVA (Table 3)   

Table 4, Matrix of correlation of variables in your analytical model

Multivariate analysis: (one page)

Table 5, Results of the regression of your dependent variable on a regression model consisting of all of the independent variables in your analytical model

                 

Extra credit options:

Partial correlation of DV and key IV controlling for antecedent IVs and intervening IVs

Two-way ANOVA

Stepwise multiple regression analysis

 

Discussion:This section should include description of the relationship between your hypothesis and your findings (two to four paragraphs)

 

Conclusion:     This section should include a concluding statement for your study (one sentence)
