You must read in the textbook the chapter that covers the topics addressed in the pool of questions provided. Your answers must reflect what you learned in that chapter.

Write a one-paragraph short essay (minimum six or seven sentences), discussing one of the questions provided:

1.  What are some of the functions of government that make it such a powerful institution? 

2.  What three different attitudes toward government are predominant in the United States?

3.  What are the two primary forms of government and how do they differ from each other?

This assignment must be written using proper English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Four (4) points will be deducted for each spelling, grammatical, and/or punctuation error. Work that contains more than five (5) spelling or grammatical or punctuation errors and/or work that does not meet the minimun number of sentences required will receive a grade of F (no points).
