This presentation assignment will provide you with the opportunity to visually explain the differing roles of instructor and students in traditional and online learning environments. Perform the following tasks:
Step 1: Create a presentation.
Create a 10 to 12-slide PowerPoint slideshow that examines the roles and responsibilities of students and instructors in traditional and online learning environments. The following information should be included:
- Describe the differences in the roles and responsibilities that students have in traditional verses online learning environments.
- Describe the differences in the roles and responsibilities that instructors have in traditional verses online learning environments.
- Identify challenges that students and instructors may face when transitioning from their traditional to their new roles and responsibilities.
- Provide suggestions to help students successfully transition from their traditional to their new roles and responsibilities.
- Provide suggestions to help instructors successfully transition from their traditional to their new roles and responsibilities.
Use the information provided in the lesson presentations, as well as any other sources you feel are appropriate. Use personal experiences and examples where possible. Use a minimum of three scholarly resources to support your findings. Be sure to properly cite any resources used. Avoid presentations that are too text heavy. Elements such as images and SmartArt help to add visual interest to a presentation. Creativity is encouraged.
Consider finding graphics that are openly licensed under the Creative Commons Agreement. Many such graphics can be found on Flickr.com. Read the description of Creative Commons (CC) agreement on the Flickr site. Use only those images that are openly shared under the CC agreement. Be sure to attribute your graphics using APA formatting. Here is a site that describes how to cite images:

Step 2: Add presenter's notes.
Include talking points and details in the notes area for each slide. The information in your presenter's notes should elaborate on each point made in the main content area of the slide. Prepare the presenter's notes as though you were going to give this file to someone else to present in front of a group.
