Research articles

You will pick an EMS topic of your choice. Using that topic as your guide you will look up 5 research articles. You will analyze each article using the criteria we outline in class for identifying good research. You will write 5-8 paragraphs on each article using the following questions as a guide:

1- What was the research question?

2- Was the research question answered? How or how not?

3- Was the answer found using appropriate research methods? What methods were used?

4- What, if any, issues exist in the research methods used?

5- Were there any conflicts of interest or biases in the research? If yes, how?

6- Would you use this information to justify a current protocol or protocol change?

7- Was the article peer reviewed?
