Programmers tend to work in solitary conditions and are somewhat isolated from the goings on of a company.  They often don't work in cross-functional teams and abide by more rigid rules than others.  Why is it important that all employees (including programmers) engage in team-based work in today's companies?  How is the art of management changing to engage employees in their organization's drive to success?
