1) Explain why contaminated water has been such a big issue for Fukushima.

2) Did the radioactive material in the reactors break containment? Explain.

3) Based on what we learned in Chapter 4 and the information in the article, what is your chance to get cancer if you spend one year in the (still evacuated) town of Tomioka? Assume the Linear No-Threshold Model is correct. (Hint: Convert the units of microsieverts per hour to rem per year, then use the same method described in HW X2.) Show your work for all calculations.
