Physic II Lab Experiment

In this experiment, we are going to use the PHET Bending Light Simulation to verify Snell’s Law. Once we verify the law, we can use it with the simulation to demonstrate total internal reflection, a phenomenon important to fiber optic technology. In the last activity, we will work with the separation of colors by prisms and the creation of rainbows through a demonstration of the dependence of the index of refraction on the wavelength of light.
